In the week leading up to Christmas, volatility in the stock market is running wild, first jumping from 21.5 to 31 points and then down to 25 points on Tuesday, December 22. However, we currently find a cost of equity insurance (this measures volatility) 13% higher than the previous week. This means that the image has deteriorated slightly but not to the point of disturbing the red alarms or black swans at the moment.
