Violent robberies and fear in the historic center of Palermo. Police arrested Nicolò Gambino, 32, and Amir Guiga, 26, both from Palermo de Ballarò Charged with two violent robberies of bystanders on July 25. The two attacks took place in Piazza Croce dei Vespri. One of the two bandits pointed a knife at the victim’s throat, who handed him the cell phone.

Through the images, the agents searched the escape routes of one of the criminals, in both robberies, via Giovanni da Procida and via Alessandro Paternostro.

They also recognized his identity in relation to previous police controls carried out in the Casa Professa area, which had registered the presence of the criminal in the robbery area at times compatible with the robberies.

Finally, the accomplice, after an intensification of controls in the Ballarò area, was traced to Piazza Brunaccini, where he was recognized as responsible for the two robberies.
