The Sochi Grand Prix, whose Russian organizers have decided to open the stands to accommodate up to 30,000 spectators, the highest point of the season in the Covid-19 era, will also be remembered for being the GP of records. Indeed, Lewis Hamilton, if he manages to cross the finish line first, will claim his 91st F1 win and overtake Michael Schumacher, who held the record in this particular classification.

Then, another record is that of Kimi Raikkonen who reached 322 Grand Prix disputed in his career, as many as Rubens Barrichello who for some time held the first position in this ranking. However, Hamilton will have to face an aggressive and determined Max Verstappen, second with Red Bull-Honda, who will start from the front row, but who will also pay attention to Valtteri Bottas, third on the starting grid. The long straight that leads to the first detachment, will allow those who are second or even third, to take advantage of the leader’s wake and overcome him with some ease. We’ll see if Hamilton will be able to use all the horsepower in the Mercedes power unit to keep up with his rivals. Attention also to Sergio Pérez who with Racing Point-Mercedes will try, at least in the first laps, to get ahead. Charles Leclerc will start from 11th and the objective is to recover points, the same happens with Sebastian Vettel, the protagonist of an accident in qualifying and who will start 15th. Ferrari cannot wait any longer in normal race conditions.
