An apartment on the second floor in via Giovanni da Verrazzano caught fire on the morning of Saturday 29 August in the Celadina district of Bergamo. The two-bedroom apartment was completely destroyed: in a state of shock but the owner, a forty-year-old man who was inside at the time of the explosion, out of danger.
The fire brigade of the Bergamo plant and the Dalmine detachment were on the scene: the intervention began around 11 o’clock but the firefighters are still in action even with a ladder car. There would be no other injuries or damage to other rooms in the building. The causes of the fire that likely started in the kitchen have yet to be clarified. The Scientific Police and two leaflets from the Bergamo Police Headquarters are also on site.
