There is news that you really do not want to give. Especially at Christmas, when you should be celebrating. But tonight, Friday, December 25, 2020, our photojournalist colleague Fabio Artesi passed away. He was 56 years old. The cursed coronavirus was taken away by the love of his wife Simona and daughter Sonia. He had been admitted to the Eporediese Clinic in Ivrea for more than a month, where he had been transferred from Ivrea hospital and, even earlier, from Cirié’s. For a couple of weeks, the doctors had decided to put him to sleep so they could better treat him. His condition had worsened in the past few hours, following signs of improvement in the past few days.
A life in Maserati, then his passion for photography and storytelling led him to embark on a journalistic career, after a past on the radios of Turin. He first collaborated with the online newspaper ZipNews, then with the local newspaper La Nuova Voce. And, once again, ObiettivoNews, La Nuova Periferia and the weekly Giallo until the current collaboration, as a photographer, for CronacaQui, which had started just a year ago.
Still in the news, very familiar with the life of his Venaria but not alone, Fabio Artesi was very loved by all. From the different municipal administrations to the person who had met a few days before and who, thanks to an article, had managed to solve a problem, a battle with the Palazzo Civico.
With one click, with one click of the camera button, he was able to immortalize faces, emotions, current moments and life from many cities and also from sporting events. But Fabio was always very close to people in difficulty and, thanks to his many acquaintances, he always found ways to do good to those in need. Especially for little Bea Naso, with charity soccer games and other initiatives to raise funds for the cause.
His passion for football led him to found, with some colleagues, the team of journalists from Turin who have played games for charity in recent years. He also loved animals very much. Shortly before he got sick, he started a fundraiser to save a sick kitten found on the street.
“It is impossible not to be scandalized by all of us who have had the privilege of meeting him. A wonderful man, a loving father and husband. A friend to many of us, as well as a professional journalist capable of passionately recounting the events of our territory. Not only That. As mayor, but as a person who shared wonderful moments with Fabio, I express all my personal pain. Our thoughts go to the daughter, his wife, the whole family and his displeased colleagues. Hello Fabio, we will miss you very much “, says the mayor. by Venaria Reale, Fabio Giulivi.
Hello Fabio, we will miss you but we will not forget you. And as you would have said, when news doesn’t reach you: “No comment.”
