Rossi’s graphics for the double date in San Marino include the famous blue tablet on a white background: explicit reference to the need for “all the energy possible for an old man like Valentino”, as designer Drudi puts it. Morbidelli, instead, chooses the theme of equality for his livery
The wait did not betray expectations: as on every eve of home races, Valentino Rossi presented an unprecedented livery of his helmet. The special edition scheduled for this year’s San Marino GP includes a drawing with a blue tablet on a white background, with a blister of 4 tablets on the back, one of which is already sold out.
All possible energy
Graphics are inspired by Misano’s “Double”, Marco Simoncelli’s double track date with the addition of “4 film-coated tablets”. Explicit reference to the “need for all the energy possible for an old man like Valentino for the 2 Misano races”, as explained by the historical helmet designer from Pesaro, Aldo Drudi.
Date of Expiry
Among the additional details also the wording: “It will be consumed before September 20, 2020” with the additional reference to the 46 mg of the tablet …
Morbidelli and equality
Special decoration also for Franco Morbidelli: the Yamaha Petronas rider has chosen an important social theme, equality, the word written on the back of his helmet in all the main languages of the world. Morbidelli put his image on the helmet, with the words ‘Time out’, inspired by the Spike Lee movie: ‘Do the right thing’. A message of solidarity and racial equality that sees Morbidelli at the forefront.
