(ANSA) – ROME, SEPTEMBER 05 – Jessica Krug, the academic professor who admitted to having false African-American origins, has been suspended from teaching for the next semester, announced the George Washington University in the federal capital Uda.
Krug, from a Jewish family in Kansas City, teaches History of Africa and the African Diaspora as an associate. He recently published a historical essay on slavery, entitled “Fugitive Modernities”, which in the preface he dedicates to his “unknown ancestors” from “Angola or Brazil.” In his recent ‘exit’, Krug apologized for assuming “false identities to which he was not entitled.”
George Washington University writes in a statement that “Ms. Krug will not be teaching” due to “pain caused to many students, faculty, staff and alumni” and that her case is now “under consideration.” (HANDLE).
