The police had to intervene with tear gas to divide some pro-Trump, including some members of the far-right group Proud Boys, from a group of counter-protesters. At least six people arrested.

In Olympia, the capital of Washington state, on the west coast, a group of supporters of the outgoing president fired shots at some protesters. Among the latter, one person was injured and his condition is unknown at the moment. The man who shot him was reportedly arrested while trying to escape.
