Numerous calls to the fire station

Violent rains storms which fell on Umbria on the morning of Sunday, August 30, especially in the province of Perugiathey provoked flood in the capital and in the north, where there have been numerous calls to firefighters for unsafe trees. Fire crews are busy on various fronts, by late morning the situation is under control. Violent hail storm around 11 o’clock in some areas of Perugia. Firefighters from the detachment of Foligno instead they intervened in the town of Fondi, in the “fosso dei chiodi” gorge to rescue a man who had slipped through the gorge, during an attempt to recover two hunting dogs that in turn slipped into the gorge. Fortunately, the man’s fall was stopped by a log and despite everything he managed to catch both dogs. The intervening team carried out the rescue with safe techniques, recovering men and animals.
