Senigallia 08/30/2020 – The last weekend of August has ended and the Carabinieri of the Compagnia di Senigallia, coordinated by Captain Francesca Romana Ruberto, continue to be present and carry out control services focused on all the places characterized by the greatest participation of people.

The result of the activities carried out over the weekend consisted of two loose complaints, two penalties for COVID, a drug addict report and three penalties for abusive valet parking and salesperson activities. Maximum attention was paid to the hours in which the main peaks of attendance are recorded, Saturday night and Sunday night. From 6 p.m. on Saturday to 6 a.m. on Sunday, 6 patrols with 12 soldiers were deployed in the Senigallia territory, who monitored the historic center and the entire boardwalk, identifying 100 people and checking 56 cars.

On Saturday night the military also approached the train station, where they checked people arriving at the velvet beach for the night. Among them they found two Iraqi nationals, aged 30 and 22 respectively, who arrived two days ago at the Ostra Vetere reception center and had been placed in fiduciary isolation. The two, however, violated the obligation to stay inside the structure and drove away, reaching Senigallia. The managers of the structure had raised the alarm immediately, reporting the incident to the police. The timely control of the military allowed them to be promptly intercepted and sanctioned with the fine of 400 euros provided by the national anti-COVID regulations. They were then taken back to the building where they are housed by Ostra Vetere facility staff to continue fiduciary isolation.

During the night the military carried out a check on one of the public gardens in the center of Senigallia, where they identified two young men. One of them, a 29-year-old Lazio resident, was found in possession of a dose of hashish. He was then reported to the Prefecture of Rome as a drug user and the drug was subjected to administrative seizure. Also during the night, the carabinieri carried out numerous controls on road traffic on the main entry and exit routes from the center of Senigallia. During the checks, a local girl, class of ’74, was identified as riding erratically in her Nissan Micra. The woman underwent a breathalyzer test, which was positive, showing a BAC of 1.31 g / l. A complaint was filed against her for driving under the influence of alcohol, her driver’s license was withdrawn and the vehicle was entrusted to a suitable person to drive it.

On Sunday morning, the controls continued in Senigallian territory, mainly aimed at combating various forms of illegal activity. An abusive seller was identified, controlled in Piazza Simoncelli while carrying out the activity of street vending without authorization. The man, a 55-year-old Senegalese, was fined 5,000 euros and the assets, consisting of 49 pieces, including umbrellas, lighters and clothing, were seized. Subsequently, the military identified an illegal parking attendant, registered in the parking area near via Leopardi. An administrative sanction was also issued, amounting to 700 euros. The carabinieri later verified that the man was expelled from the national territory with a provision that was notified to him last February but that was never carried out. For this reason, they reported him to the Ancona Public Ministry and he must go to the Police Headquarters to verify his position, since it is illegal.

Last Thursday, another illegal parking attendant, originally from Senegal but residing in Mondolfo, was identified by the military, controlled in the parking area of the old public scale. The investigations carried out revealed that the man had already been sanctioned for the same violation in December 2019, leaving the final disposition. For this reason, he had been reported to the Ancona Public Ministry for having carried out the activity of valet parking without authorization.
