ALBAREDO D’ADIGE (VERONA) – Shortly after 11:40 a.m. a fire broke out at nursing home in Albaredo d’Adige. Rescues are underway, currently with 4 fire crews engaged. All the guests of the facility were evacuated. The causes are still unknown.

Two people were injured, apparently minor, in the fire that affected a nursing home in Albaredo d’Adige. Fortunately, the guests and staff managed to be rescued. On the path that leads to the nursing home you can see the beds lined up on the side of the road, in both pavilions, with elderly people with masks on their faces, attended by nurses and civil protection volunteers. The fire would have developed in the attic. The causes have yet to be clarified. 81 elders would be eliminated in time before the flames spread to the facility. Only one of them would be injured at this time. The other person involved, also slightly, is a nursing home health worker who was saved along with the other 18 colleagues. Dozens of fire crews converged on the area, as well as from Verona, also from the neighboring provinces of Padua and Vicenza.
