In total, 140 new cases have been recorded in the province of Forlì-Cesena in the last 24 hours, the highest daily figure in the area since the start of the pandemic, but with a much higher number of swabs than at the beginning of the pandemic and a contact tracing activity that has not been done before.
In particular, 99 new positives were posted for the Forlì area on Friday in the daily bulletin of Ausl Romagna and the Region. Among these, however, there are 34 positive cases in the “San Camillo” center for the elderly, to which are added two more cases from the same outbreak, bringing the total to 36 positive swabs. Activity in schools
Thanks to the contact tracing activity, carried out by the Public Hygiene of Forlì, three new positive cases of Covid were identified in the school, two students and a teacher. Regarding the case of a student from Itis de Forlì, based on the epidemiological investigation carried out by the Ausl Public Health Department, after the preventive inspection, no close high-risk contacts were identified in the school environment. but only occasional contacts.
Occasional contacts in the classroom must monitor the appearance of fever or other symptoms suspected of Covid (cough, cold, diarrhea, conjunctivitis) for 14 days from the last risk contact, that is, from October 26. If symptoms appear, you should contact your GP immediately. For occasional contacts, quarantine or suspension of school attendance is not prescribed, but it is recommended to wear the surgical mask, have careful hand hygiene and avoid opportunities for aggregation that avoid physical distancing. A buffer is offered to those occasional contacts. The same occurs with the case of a high school student from the Matatia Integral Institute in Forlì. There are no quarantine measures here either, but occasional class contacts will have to watch for symptoms.
Finally, with regard to the case of a teacher at Matteotti primary school, also in this case the epidemiological investigation did not identify close, high-risk contacts in the school environment of the teacher who tested positive, but only occasional contacts. They should check the possible appearance of symptoms since the last contact at risk, or from October 27, but without quarantine obligations, paying the utmost attention to the constant use of the mask.
