The Scuderia Ferrari prepares to play on his own on the weekend 1000th Grand Prize and you’re ready to celebrate this milestone inMugello Racecourse, a facility owned by the Maranello company that will host for the first time a race in the highest category of motorsports.

Charles Leclerc and Sebastian Vettel will also have some special suits for this unique race, while the public will return to the stands for the first time since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic. It will be about less than three thousand people a day from Friday, all socially estranged, but also a major sign of reboot and confidence.
The celebrations will also involve nearby Florence, with an event taking place in the heart of the city on Saturday night and streamed on the Scuderia Ferrari website and social channels. Finally, on Sunday, before the start, Art’s son and Ferrari Driver Academy (FDA) driver Mick Schumacher will take to the track at the wheel of an F2004 that his father Michael drove in his last world championship season: it is the best way to remember the most successful car in the history of the Scuderia and its incomparable driver.

Piero Ferrari: “A milestone as important as the Scuderia Ferrari 1000 Grand Prix in the Formula 1 World Championship could not fail to be marked by something special. That is why we decided to dedicate a commemorative livery to the event: the SF1000 will hit the Mugello track in that amaranth red color that characterized the 125 S, the first racing car to bear the Ferrari name. The drivers’ suits will also be in amaranth color. The numbers on Charles and Sebastian’s cars also take up the tradition of the 1950s, when they were hand painted on the bodywork.
It is a tribute to our origins: this is where Ferrari’s extraordinary history began, characterized by the incessant desire to compete accompanied by the desire to build exceptional road cars in terms of technology and design. To make the anniversary even more exciting is the fact that the race will take place at the Mugello circuit and that in the stands for the first time there will again be some spectators.
The track is very beautiful and super technical, with height variations and very challenging corners. This circuit should be more adapted to the characteristics of our car so we hope to be able to give some satisfaction to our fans, both at home and on the circuit ”.
Charles Leclerc: “I can’t wait to get on track at Mugello with Ferrari. The track is beautiful and especially this weekend we are celebrating the 1000th GP in the history of our team in Formula 1. I am also happy to know that there will be a few thousand fans in the stands.
The circuit, which has a long straight but is not as fast as the ones we raced in the last two races, should see our car in less trouble. As a team it will be important to maximize the time available because we do not have starting parameters and therefore there is more work than usual. We hope to entertain the spectators by winning many points in the standings again ”.
