Florence, October 8, 2020 – New cases of positivity emerge in schools. This is the panorama in the territory of the Local Health Authority of the Northwest of Tuscany (provinces of Massa Carrara, Lucca, Pisa and Livorno), cases in which the Hygiene and Public Health structures, which manage these situations together with the staff school and interested municipalities are carrying out epidemiological investigations related to children and school personnel.
MASSA CARRARA
A new case of positivity has been identified in the comprehensive institute “Fossola Gentili” of Carrara. This is a “secondary” case as a contact of the positive case of last October 4.
A positive case was identified in the “Andersen” kindergarten of the “Menconi” Institute in Carrara.
At the comprehensive institute “Don Milani” in Marina di Massa, a case of positivity was identified in a class before lower secondary school.
A positive case was identified in the “Ortola” kindergarten in Massa.
A positive case was identified in the “Pascoli” linguistic secondary school in Massa.
LIVORNO
At the “Vespucci” higher education institution in Livorno, a positive case was identified in a first grade student. Quarantine has been ordered for about 20 people.
At “Enriques” secondary school in Livorno, a positive case was identified in a second grade student. Quarantine has been arranged for about 20 people.
Versilia
A case of positivity was identified in a first class at the scientific secondary school of Forte dei Marmi. The class was quarantined.
A positive case was identified in a section of the “Il girotondo” nursery in Pian di Mommio (Massarosa). The section was quarantined.
