Florence, October 9, 2020 – In Tuscany there are 17,095 cases of Coronavirus positivity, 483 more than yesterday (289 identified in the course of tracking and 194 from detection activities). The new cases are the 2.9% more than the total of the previous day. The average age of 483 cases today is approximately 45 years (20% are under 20, 22% between 20 and 39, 31% between 40 and 59, 15% between 60 and 79, 12% are 80 years or older) and In terms of clinical states, 71% were asymptomatic, 13% pauci-symptomatic. Of the 483 positives currently, 33 are nuns residing in a convent. 4 cases can be linked to returns from abroad. 39% of the cases is a contact linked to a previous case.

People hospitalized in beds dedicated to Covid patients today are a total of 170 (11 more than yesterday, more than 6.9%), 30 in intensive care (3 more than yesterday, more than 11.1%). In total there are 10,801 people cured (108 more than yesterday, plus 1%): 370 people clinically cured (46 more than yesterday, plus 14.2%), that is, who became asymptomatic after presenting clinical manifestations associated with the infection and 10,431 (62 more than yesterday, plus 0.6%) declared cured in all aspects, the so-called viral cures, with double negative swab. Today there are 3 new deaths: 2 men and a woman with an average age of 79.7 years.
