Trump returns to Washington and leaves 500 guests in Florida

Donald Trump closes the holidays early and returns to Washington. Change of plans at the last minute for the president who, with his wife Melania, leaves Florida, where at night they were waiting for him at a New Year’s party. The president returns to Washington, according to his updated daily White House calendar. Guests at the Mar-a-Lago party, about 500, had to buy tickets to attend.

The early return would have been decided in view of January 6, when Congress led by Vice President Mike Pence must certify the vote of the large voters. This is a necessary step to certify Joe Biden’s victory in the 2020 U.S. elections.

Trump, at least judging from the tweets, still believes in ‘change’ after the November vote. “Now – wrote Trump on Twitter – we have many more votes than necessary to annul Georgia’s result in the presidential race.
