Empoli, December 17, 2020 – UN 49-year-old man died in Empoli hospital due to an accident at work on a farm in Spicchio, a village in the municipality of Vinci. It happened around 8.30. As reconstructed, the 49-year-old man was on a scaffold, at a height of about two meters, when suddenly fell violently hitting his head, suffer a head injury.
The man was first rescued by an ambulance and the 118 self-medico and the Pegasus rescue helicopter were also alerted. In the end, however, the 49-year-old was transferred in code red to the Empoli hospital where, however, there was nothing to be done to save his life, as confirmed by the ASL.
Carabinieri and occupational medicine technicians also attended the scene. ASL Toscana Centro to better clarify the context in which the accident occurred.
