Tourist dies crushed by the beam from which he had hung to take a photo: commotion in Tirrenia

Shock in Tuscany. A 43-year-old tourist died shortly before 1:00 p.m. in Tirrenia, on the Pisan coast, after causing the collapse of a beam in the garden of a bathhouse. The woman, originally from the province of Turin, had clung to one grass in masonry to take a souvenir photo, but the structure collapsed on it and the tourist died shortly before the ambulance arrived. The carabinieri who sealed off the area are investigating the episode even if the activity remains open.

He was the woman’s boyfriend, a native of the province of Florence, to raise the alarm, but even if the emergency vehicles quickly reached the place for the tourist, there was nothing else to do. The accident occurred in an external area of a bathhouse in which there are signs indicating the prohibition of access. The couple, having come to Tirrenia for a beach day, would have entered the garden lined with plants and hedges directly from the adjacent plaza without being clients of the bathhouse. In the area there are structures that remind of ancient Rome and the woman, from the reconstructed thing, clung to one of them that represents an arch when the lightning gave out and hit her on the neck and head.
