The four supposedly, in competition with each other, “launched suitable acts directed unequivocally to force, by means of threats, two riders who were preparing to compete in the race of the ‘Gubbio Prize’ at the Castelluccio dei Sauri racecourse, not to reach the first three positions of the race, thus obtaining an unfair benefit (consisting of the illicit receipt of the prizes corresponding to the bets placed) with relative damage to the offended, not doing so for reasons beyond their control, in particular for non-compliance due to part of the victims, who reported the incident to the authorities ”.
The threat, the document reads, consisted of “having represented immediate violent retaliation to the victims if they did not submit to what they imposed.”
The testimony of one of the victims: “They threatened me and told me that if I reached the finish line they would not let me get home. Faced with my grievances and my attempts to make him understand that I could not submit to his threats, both of them reacted by starting to shake me and showing aggressiveness, raising their voices and repeating the threats.”.
