What scares us is that many of the decisions are made based on the moment and not with a vision of medium or long term: we know that in January there will be a third wave, and we will not be discharged ».
Bonsignore is clear: the trend of the coronavirus pandemic follows that of the Spanish, and “we know what awaits us”, but “we will not reach the third wave with a significant reduction in infections as happened with the second: first because we are in the winter period “. , second, because there will be concomitance with the flu phase, which has not yet begun.
Therefore, the third wave is confirmed now in January and could hit with more violence than the previous ones. We would have arrived in better conditions if we had done prevention work and not moment-by-moment management: the natural tendency of the pandemic is decreasing and had to be facilitated, an important reopening means that instead the tendency of contagion is flattened and is no longer in decline.
