BRINDIS – The number of people infected with Covid in the Puglia region remains high. Even today, Sunday, October 25, the bulletin registers 515 positives, based on information from the director of the Health Promotion Department, Vito Montanaro, of the 4,377 registered. The cases are divided as follows: 208 in the province of Bari, 21 in the province of Brindisi, 90 in the province of Bat, 103 in the province of Foggia, 43 in the province of Lecce, 45 in the province of Taranto , 4 residents outside the region, 1 province of unknown residence.

7 deaths were recorded: 1 in the province of Bari, 1 in the province of Bat, 4 in the province of Foggia, 1 resident outside the region. Since the beginning of the emergency, 522,951 tests have been carried out, 6011 patients are cured, 7872 are currently positive cases. The total number of positive Covid cases in Puglia is 14,546, divided as follows: 6,087 in the province of Bari; 1,462 in the province of Bat; 1,038 in the province of Brindisi; 3,445 in the province of Foggia; 1,091 in the province of Lecce; 1,317 in the province of Taranto; 105 attributed to residents outside the region; 1 province of unknown residence.

The situation in Brindisi and its province

In the Brindisi area, especially in San Donaci, there are 4 confirmed positive cases between two families. Therefore, the mayor ordered the closure of the school attended by a child, belonging to a positive family unit, subjected to a tampon. This is the “Don Donato Panna” complex that will be closed tomorrow, Monday, October 26 for sanitation reasons.

Finally, in San Pietro Vernotico, Mayor Rizzo, with ordinance number 38 of today, October 25, ordered the suspension of teaching activities in presence for the 2D class of the “Don Minzoni” institute and the 2D class of “De Simone “Until October 30th. In elementary class, in fact, there would be a case of positivity for Covid of which, for now, however, the mayor would not have received confirmation from the ASL but only from other channels. The infected student is a relative of the “Don Minzoni” student from whom, however, the result of the swab is awaited.
