The yellow zone is approaching but the situation is still worrying – Health

The weekly monitoring figures anticipated by the Region seem to bring Friuli Venezia Giulia closer to the yellow band, provided that the criteria used so far remain the same. Some critical elements are improving. The percentage of positives out of the total swabs (excluding those for screening and negativization control) decreased from 34.3 to 27.7.

The simple decrease in this rate, which is still high, no longer triggers the alert. The virus transmission index also drops below 1, reaching 0.92. For the orange zone it should be above 1.25. It means that the epidemic is no longer spreading. But at the hearing in the Regional Council, the coordinator of the working group, Professor Fabio Barbone, said that he will only be calm when he sees 600 cases a week: in the past there were almost 5,000.

Outbreaks in non-health workplaces are on the rise, now numbering around 100, Barbone added.
