For Italy, the weather conditions will not remain stable for long: in fact, a further deterioration is expected next weekend
After the weak deterioration expected in the middle of the week, weather conditions will tend to stabilize again between Thursday 17th and Friday 18th December. But even this respite won’t last long. To the weekend of December 19 and 20 in fact, it is increasingly likely that a new and more intense disturbance will arrive that will involve various areas of our country.
Thursday December 17 stable weather, but it won’t be a sunny day everywhere
A temporary anticyclonic return should ensure a brief phase of stability throughout the day. Thursday, which however will not be completely sunny. In particular, the sky can also turn out cloudy in parts of the north and the Tyrrhenian regions, where, however, no significant rainfall is expected.
In the lower-middle Adriatic, Basilicata, Calabria and the western Alpine sectors, the climate is mainly sunny with few significant clouds. In the morning possible mist or fogs between eastern Lombardy, Veneto and northeastern Emilia.
Stationary temperatures or at most slightly rising. Weak winds, except moderate reinforcements from Sirocco in the Sicilian channel and in the Sardinian sea and channel, with rough seas locally. Calm seas or a little rough elsewhere.
The weekend of December 19 and 20 the new weather worsened
Friday It will be another generally stable and calm day, with scattered clouds over the northern plains, in Liguria, Tuscany, northern Marche, in the far south and on the two main islands. Some rains can affect Liguria, Tyrrhenian Sardinia and eastern Sicily. In the rest of Italy, the weather is generally quite sunny.
However, a new gradual worsening of the climate could break through in the next Weekend December 19 and 20 by the arrival of a new disturbance (on December 7). Between Saturday and Sunday, therefore, a new gradual deterioration will be possible in the Center-North and in the two main islands.
This is a trend that will be better evaluated in future updates. Throughout the entire period the weather will remain mild, with temperatures generally above the norm, autumn more than winter.
