Moments of fear this morning around 11 o’clock due to an articulated truck that left the road on provincial highway 350, in the municipality of Cogollo del Cengio.
According to the reconstructions, the truck was heading towards Arsiero when the driver, for causes under investigation, suddenly lost control of the vehicle, completely encroaching on the opposite lane, then breaking the handrail and ending up in the steep balance. Fortunately, the driver was unharmed.
Local police officers from the Alto Vicentino consortium and firefighters from the Schio detachment, as well as private workers for the recovery of the vehicle, rushed to the scene of the accident. Operations are ongoing, with the unidirectional alternate traffic system regulated.
