Teggiano (Salerno), October 7, 2020 – The coronavirus, with its increased infections, creates tensions even at school. A 15 year old boy who protested because he did not want to wear the mask in the courtroom was slapped by teacher. It happens at the “Pomponio Leto” institute, an artistic baccalaureate section, in Teggiano (Salerno) and the episode – as it usually happens – was immortalized in a video filmed by another student and soon went viral.
It is clear from the images that the teacher slaps the student and then pull it by holding it by the hair. The prof uttered the following sentence contextually: “You are wrong and I am wrong too“The attack did not bruise the boy.
Apparently the fight – right on the day Conte decides new restrictions – arose from the discussion between the student and the teacher about whether or not to use the anti Covid mask. The boy, a native of Sala Consilina, allegedly claimed that the mask if the distance of at least one meter is respected of a partner. Hence the teacher’s reaction, a reaction that, again from what we learn from student sources, would have occurred after the student had worn the mask just to please the teacher.
The episode was condemned by both teachers and students from high school. All declared solidarity with the student. The professor lives in Teggiano and is originally from Salerno; He has been teaching at “Pomponio Leto” for several years. The police officers of the Sala Consilina company that they already have are investigating the fact captured the video. At the moment no official complaint has been filed, but Captain Paolo Cristinziano, according to the prosecutor of the Lagonegro court, will proceed to collect useful elements to clarify the episode and, therefore, reconstruct the dynamics of the events. The teacher could be investigated for the crime of abuse of the means of correction, punishable ex officio.
