The truth about Colleferro’s terrible night, which caused the death of the innocent Willy Monteiro Duarte, now seems clearer. New elements emerge from the direct testimonies and the conclusions contained in the order that validates the arrest of the four accused of involuntary manslaughter (Marco Bianchi, Gabriele Bianchi and Mario Pincarelli in prison, Francesco Belleggia under house arrest). The two groups of boys, one from Artena, one from Colleferro and Paliano, met face to face for a banal thanks to a girl. A simple “beautify”, followed by a provocative kiss: from there all hell broke loose.
On the afternoon of September 5 it was rebuilt by Republic. Francesco Belleggia, 23, joins Colleferro with a friend. The two are going to have a drink in a restaurant-pub in the center, when they are inside the restaurant they see Mario Pincarelli arrive in the company of another person who joins the table for a drink. Seated at a separate table are the two Bianchi brothers, Marco and Gabriele, who stand on the sidelines and shortly after they leave in the company of another person and three girls. They are seen getting into the black Audi Q7 of the Bianchi brothers and disappearing.
The hours pass, night falls and at 2.30 the friend with whom Belleggia arrived from Artena leaves, leaving him on foot. He has been drinking with Pincarelli and is looking for a ride back home. He has been drinking a lot, too much and he is drugged At that moment two girls pass by the stairs, and Pincarelli comes out with a “precious” addressed to one of them, followed by the gesture of sending her a kiss with his hand. The girl, Azzurra, however, is accompanied by her boyfriend, Alessandro Rosati, from Colleferro, who is there with some friends. The child goes to complain to Pincarelli, Belleggia understands that the situation could end badly, so she apologizes to Rosati. But that is not all.
Federico Zurma, a friend of both Rosati and Willy, attends the place. He also drank too much. He walks up to Belleggia, looks him in the eye, and seems to want to hit him with his head, but doesn’t. Belleggia shoves him away, knocking him to the ground. The situation degenerates. In front of him, a boy, known as “the rugby player”, says: “I don’t dislike you just because you have a cast on your arm.” Zurma gets up and argues with some enthusiasm with Belleggia. The two of them have walked away from the stairs, they are near the kiosk across the street. At a distance of three meters is also Willy, who tries to calm things down, to act as a peacemaker. Belleggia also apologizes to Zuma.
It is 3 in the morning and the Audi of the Bianchi brothers hits the road, warned by Michele Cerquozzi that they are needed. Cerquozzi is a neighbor of the whites. Marco and Gabriele get out of the Audi and, as several witnesses say, including Belleggia, they start beating three boys from the Colleferresi group. Among these is also Willy. Belleggia in front of the prosecutor, however, denied having participated in the beating, much less having beaten the victim. It is reportedly Gabriele, the older of the two, who launches the wild kick. But investigators are convinced that Pincarelli was also involved in the fight. In fact, like the Bianchi brothers, he remains in prison.
The fight has many details, from what the investigating judge believes is the key witness, his name is Emanuele Cenciarelli who was at the scene with other friends and Willy himself, during the hours of the beating. “As far as I can remember, all the boys kicked and hit Willy and me. I have a vivid memory of a couple of them even jumping over Willy’s body lying on the ground and already helpless. That they were the Bianchi brothers can be deduced by reading the description of the particular signs: «I remember that one wore a white shirt and had a tear tattooed on his face below the eye, as well as several tattoos on his arms and hands. The other boy, on the other hand, had an arm in a cast. At the time of the attack I remember that in addition to the boys mentioned by me, three others joined (…) one wore a green polo shirt with very short hair and the other had a colorful tattoo on his neck ».
