Snow is coming: “yellow” alert

The Civil Protection of Trentino issued a yellow alert notice for the arrival of a snowy disturbance. From the afternoon of Sunday, December 27, and during the night until Monday, it will begin to snow at very low altitudes, up to the Val d’Adige where 15 to 30 centimeters are expected. In the mountains instead up to 45 centimeters. Most of the accumulations will take place in the morning hours, when forecasts speak of abundant rains concentrated in a few hours.

The most intense phase of the disturbance will last approximately 12 hours, until late morning or early Monday afternoon, and will be followed by sequelae with the possibility of weak precipitation at very low altitudes through Tuesday afternoon. Strong or very strong southwest winds will also blow in the mountains from Sunday night through Tuesday morning. Civil Protection recommends the utmost caution, both on the roads and in the face of the increased possibility of avalanches.
