There is still great uncertainty about in Italy from January 7 until the next DPCM. The Government is busy in these hours to define the measures that should avoid the much feared third wave of coronavirus, and the opinion that the current ones may not be enough is widespread in Palazzo Chigi.
The closing of the festivities ends on the day of Epiphany, the last day of the national red zone. The DPCM of December 3, on the other hand, expires on January 15. Therefore, for a week, in theory, the measures that have transported Italians on vacation should apply. But the government control room believes that the situation in Italy could quickly worsen and therefore some restrictive measures could change (it is estimated, for example, of anticipate curfew at 8 pm).
These changes would be implemented thanks to a bridging measure.
Waiting for more updates from the Government, let’s see which ones the rules will be in effect from January 7 to 15 in Italy.
Restrictive measures, the calendar for the next days
The government hypothesizes a new calendar with alternating orange and yellow zones for all of Italy. In fact, it seems that at least until January 15, each Region will not be evaluated on a case-by-case basis, but again there will be rules in force for the entire country.
Therefore, a new decree law could be on the way that will move all of Italy. in the yellow zone on January 7 and 8 me in the orange zone on January 9 and 10.
Until the 15th movements between regions they will probably be banned.
The rules in Italy after January 6
There is no doubt about it: the different rules for the yellow, orange and red zones will remain in force. This does not mean that some measures can be more stringent.
The yellow zone The current one provides for a curfew from 10 pm to 5 am and a ban on moving to the orange and red regions. There are specific rules for bars and restaurants, closed after 6 pm (with take-out allowed until 10 pm and domicile without restrictions). Shopping centers are closed on public holidays and the eve of holidays, with the exception of pharmacies, grocery stores, tobacconists and kiosks inside. Enclosed gyms, swimming pools, cinemas, theaters, museums, exhibitions and arcades. Distance education for secondary schools.
The orange zoneIn addition to the aforementioned measures, it also provides for the closure of municipal borders. You can leave the Municipality only for reasons of need, health and work. Distance education for secondary schools.
In Red zone You can only leave home for proven work needs, to go shopping, and for health or emergency reasons. Teaching in presence only for kindergarten, primary and secondary.
The bars are always closed in both the red and orange zones, with take-out service (until 10pm) and at home.
Hope Ordinance on Parameters
By order of the Minister of Health Roberto Speranza, the parameters that determine the color assignment for different Regions could be tightened.
After the change, there will probably be many more orange or red areas in Italy.
Orange or red zone hypothesis for all of Italy on weekends
A national lockdown on holidays and the day before holidays could be added to the current rules, even for yellow zones. THE Weekend of Italians would be in the orange or red zone for everyone.
Curfew maybe early at 8pm
Another change could be applied to the curfew. In fact, at the top of Palazzo Chigi the hypothesis arose to extend the prohibition to leave the house at night by two hours.
Therefore, the new curfew could be in force from 8 pm to 5 am.
Visits to family and friends
It seems that the Government intends to renew the ‘two-diner rule’, which limits the visiting family and friends with two people at the same time. The measures were approved during the holidays to avoid social gatherings at home.
The school is closed from January 7 to 15.
No mass return to school for students after Epiphany. Against the will of Minister Lucía Azzolina, the schools will probably not reopen on January 7 as previously announced.
The 50% face-to-face teaching could be restarted from Monday, January 18.
No skiing until January 18
The same date could mark the reopening of the ski resorts. Minister Speranza has already signed the order.
