The Ramsey factor, in real Juve, is always there. But is it worth paying 7 million a year for two games a month?

Between steps forward and others backward, Andrea Pirlo’s Juve played a whole series of encouraging performances in this first part of the season. In the championship, the tests remain with Sampdoria on their debut, but also with Parma on the last day. In the Champions League the outings with Dinamo Kiev and back, but also the trip to Hungary in the Ferencvaros field and obviously the triumph of the Camp Nou. Although it may seem unremarkable, among the various points in common of the starting eleven that Andrea Pirlo displayed on those occasions, all of them, there is one in particular: Aaron Ramsey. He is the man who best suits the role of a joker, a little winger, a little midfielder, a little playmaker. At a completely different pace than that imposed by Weston McKennie but with a quality in the choice of plays that often makes a difference. Finishing up becoming one of those players who ultimately make themselves heard when they are not even though they are not noticed when they are on the field. Fundamental, when there is and is good. With a big problem: knowing when it’s there and when it’s okay is a challenge. And a big dilemma: is it worth continuing to invest around 7 million net a year for a player who has around two games a month?

There are two answers to this question, one from the field and one from the budget. Discover them in the gallery
