For two hours this afternoon the operator of the Sos Donna anti-violence center in Macerata was listened to, as a person informed of the facts, by the police investigating the murder of Rosina Cassetti, which occurred on Christmas Eve at her home in via Pertini in Montecassiano .

Two hours to inform investigators what led an elderly woman to seek help at a refugee center. A friend of Rosy’s had called Sos Donna, which is based in Piazza Mazzini in Macerata, and last Saturday the two women went there and spoke with the operator in question. Rosina Cassetti had exposed her discomfort, had told her about her problems and together they had decided to make an appointment for next Tuesday with the association’s lawyer, Egle Asciutti. Next Tuesday Rosy would go to the lawyer to decide the possible maneuvers to get out of a situation of serious difficulty. Rosy hasn’t made it to the appointment, a victim of the murderous rampage of someone investigators are trying to identify and has therefore been working day and night since Christmas Eve. Nothing emerged as to the content of the statements made by the operator of the anti-violence center, the investigators kept the most absolute secrecy.

Meanwhile, the lawyer Egle Asciutti, through a video (which we post above), talks about the meeting he should have had on Tuesday with the victim: «On the morning of Saturday, December 19, Rosina contacted the Sos Donna anti-violence center in Macerata. This had happened through a friend of hers, who had physically called the anti-violence center asking for an appointment for Signora Rosina. Both had been received immediately. Already at 10 in the morning that same morning they went to the anti-violence center to have a first informative and cognitive interview with the operator, at the end of which Mrs. Rosina had also asked for the possibility of having a meeting with a lawyer to obtain information. I should have met her, as a reference lawyer for the anti-violence center, on the afternoon of Tuesday 29. Therefore, I cannot report further circumstances both because I did not have the opportunity, unfortunately, to speak directly with the lady, and because obviously the content of that first meeting and history of the lady with the operator is under investigation».
