In Montecchia di Crosara, in the province of Verona, the sports hall was completely destroyed by strong gusts of wind. The damage exceeds hundreds of thousands of euros. In the city Hall other buildings were damaged, many me roofs and felled trees. A shower of hail and debris thrown by the strong wind poured onto the street.
According to the witnesses present at the scene the roof of the building has been literally torn from the supporting structure, breaking into a thousand pieces. Same luck for some solar panels installed on the roofs of houses. Important damage also in the field neighboring areas, where crops were ruined by hail.
The mayor of Montecchia Edoardo Pallaro summoned an emergency meeting in the town hall to take stock of the situation and organize rescue teams to bring first aid to the population affected by bad weather.
