The Azienda Zero Coronavirus bulletin on Saturday, January 2 (data referred to 8 am) shows updated data on the spread of the epidemic in Sars-Cov-2: there are 1617 new cases of contagion in Veneto, 293 of which in the province of Venice. In the Region the number reached 94,121. In total, 261,845 infections have been recorded since the start of the pandemic. Compared to yesterday 17, there are 8 deaths in the province of Venice.
Hospital admissions
Currently 3040 covid-positive patients are being treated in Venetian hospitals, of which 372 are in serious condition. In the province of Venice there are 142 people hospitalized in Dolo (20 serious), 68 in Santi Giovanni e Paolo in Venice (8 in intensive care), 78 in Angelo di Mestre (15 serious), 23 in the San Marco de Mestre hospital, 68 in Villa Salus, 18 in Mirano (5 in intensive care), 1 in Noale and 24 in the classification of community hospital in Noale, 29 in Chioggia (5 serious), 84 in Jesolo (14 serious), 1 in San Donà in intensive care and 17 in the Rizzola nursing home. There is also 1 person registered at the Odc (community hospital) Fatebenefratelli, 2 at the Relaxxi community hospital in Noale, 6 at the Nazareth Center in Venice and 4 at the Stella Marina residential services center in Jesolo Lido.
Cases of positivity in the Venetian provinces
Below is the number of currently positive people in all Veneto provinces and the change in cases compared to 17 on Wednesday. The highest number of new infections is registered in Treviso (+524), followed by Venice (+293).
