The number of new Covid positives in Italy continues to rise

am 2,844 new cases of coronavirus registered in Italy in the last 24 hours, and 27 deaths which brings the total number of victims, since the beginning of the emergency, to 35,968.

In the last 24 hours, 118,932 swabs (yesterday there were 120,301), for a total of 11,691,391. This is what we read in today’s newsletter from the Ministry of Health and Civil Protection. The total number of discharged / cured is 231,217 (+1,247), while the current positives are 55,566 (+1,569). To date, 3,205 people have been hospitalized with symptoms, of these 297 are in intensive care, while 52,064 people are in home isolation.

The region with the highest number of new cases in the last 24 hours is still Campania (401), followed by Lombardy (393), Piedmont (279), Veneto (276) and Lazio (261).
