Ten new coronavirus victims in Sicily (-2 compared to yesterday) but another 592 infections (+73). This is the photograph of the island that emerges from today’s newsletter on the Covid emergency issued by the Ministry of Health. The newly infected were identified by processing another 26,236 swabs, 3,000 more than yesterday. Therefore, the positivity rate remains the same, standing at 2.2%.
There are 662 patients hospitalized under the ordinary regime in the island’s hospitals (-8 compared to yesterday), while in intensive care there are 121 patients (+1) with 6 new admissions. Even today, the number of current positives (that is, people who have the virus at this time) is decreasing and thus becomes 19,727 (-2,951). Of these, 18,944 are in home isolation. In the last 24 hours, 3,533 have been cured, almost 1,200 more than the previous day.
