The situation in Palermo and its province
In the last month (from November 14 to December 14) the number of Covid-positive citizens in Palermo and in the municipalities of the province has started to increase again. According to the report of the Municipal Statistical Office, based on Asp data, on November 14 the positives in Palermo were 5,516, while yesterday (December 14) it reached 9,387. As for the entire metropolitan city, it went from 8,251 to 11,572.
On the other hand, the situation improves if we observe the trend of the last days, from December 9 to 14. In Palermo it went from 9,515 to 9387 positives. In Bagheria from 400 to 351, Villabate from 155 to 144. There was a net improvement in Villafrati, from 45 to 21 and Misilmeri, from 450 to 190.
The situation in the rest of Italy
Unfortunately, today there are 846 deaths throughout Italy. Just under 15,000 new cases out of 162,000 swabs (9.2% positive rate). 199 new patients who had to access intensive care to stay alive (yesterday there were 138).
