In light of the evolution of the epidemiological picture both at the national and regional level, the mayor of Alba Carlo Bo, confronted with the Councilor for Tourism Emanuele Bolla and in agreement with the president of the Ente Fiera Liliana Allena, communicates that The week of Saturday 24 and Sunday October 25 will be the last weekend of opening to the attending public of the 90th edition of the International Fair of the White Truffle of Alba, giving space to the continuation in digital version.
Mayor Carlo Bo explains: “We are proud to have organized this edition of the Fair, showing that the city of Alba knows how to face difficult times in a serious and decisive way. Thanks to the work done with the Police Headquarters and the Prefecture, we have been able to pay close attention to the safety of both tourists and the people of Alba. With the same seriousness and sense of responsibility, we cannot pretend not to see the current situation worldwide: that is why it is time to suspend the event from next week. We have done everything possible up to now, but the conditions to continue safely in the medium term no longer exist ”.

We have achieved this, becoming an example at the national and international level. In light of the worsening epidemiological situation, I think the time has come to step aside. President Liliana Allena declares: “The Fair is transformed, suspends activities in presence at the World Truffle Market and relaunches its digital proposal with Alba Digital Truffle Lab and Langhe Digital Wine Lab: from Roddi’s Truffle Hub, a” virtual “location installed in the vicinity of the Castle, we will offer experiences of great quality and charm, reaching everyone safely, at a time when prudence suggests suspending activities in presence for reasons of protection of public health ”.
