Olivia Paladini, Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte’s partner, was disgusted and – after leaving the supermarket following a report from the same owner requesting the intervention of an escort operator – was accompanied by the latter a few dozen meters towards her house, where at that time the premier was and, therefore, the escort outside. It was specified by the Minister of the Interior Luciana Lamorgese in the House Question Time, on the case of the companion of Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte, accompanied to his home by a man from the Prime Minister’s bodyguard on October 26 in the presence of a company of Le Iene.
The bag and the escort
The owner of the Ministry of the Interior returned to the destination of the day. Mrs. Paladino, who had left the building and was immediately chased by the television crew, decided to escape the insistent requests of the correspondent to take refuge in the adjacent supermarket, reaching the back of the room. At this point, the owner of the store called the attention of the escort operator, warning him that he had asked the television correspondent to leave the store, considering that his entry had occurred for the sole purpose of obtaining statements from Mrs. Paladino. Ms. Paladino was clearly upset, so one of the guards, assisted by two companions, only took charge of accompanying her to the house, a few dozen meters away, where the Prime Minister was at that time. The television crew, however, continued to follow Mrs. Paladino and ask her insistent questions without taking into account the uproar and her desire not to make statements, giving in a few meters from the house, from which she then spontaneously left. Lamorgese finally specified that the person to whom Mrs. Paladino gave a bag before leaving the store was not an operator of President Conte’s protection service but one of the business owners.
