The crime could be the tragic end of a fight that ended in blood for reasons, at the moment, unknown. Referee Daniele De Santis belonged to the Lecce section and had also arbitrated in Series B. The head of the Lecce Prosecutor’s Office, Leonardo Leone De Castris, also arrived at the venue. The 118 operators could not avoid noting the death of the two grooms, both, as it was known, were struck by stab wounds.
