It is concluded i confrontation between the leaders of the Lombardy region and the mayors of the Lombard capitals together with the group leaders of the Regional Council to discuss the New measures to be introduced to slow the spread of the coronavirus.
The priorities of the proposals on the ground are mainly based onaim to reduce people on board local public transport, an element identified by all as a weak point of the contagion containment strategy. Among the other points discussed, which will be brought to a discussion table with the technical-scientific committee before being deliberated within a new regional ordinance, there are also distance education in secondary schools, tiered access in schools, education at a distance in universities, sports, smartworking and nightlife.
The points discussed during the meeting were listed by the president of the Lombardy region, Attilio Fontana at the end of the works and constitute the starting point of the work that in a few hours should lead to the formalization of the new measures.
Transportation and school
The first objective to be pursued is to reduce the number of people forced to use public transport. With this in mind, the meeting discussed increasing distance education for secondary schools and universities. In addition, proceed with a greater staggering of the start of school activities to better regulate the flows of students forced to travel.
The sport
The proposals discussed point to the suspension of competitions related to amateur sport, without touching the training sessions. The technical-scientific committee will also be asked to evaluate the capacity of the sports halls.

Movida and clubs
Among the proposals discussed to regulate the so-called nightlife, three orders of intervention were examined. A reduction in attendance at bingo halls and gaming halls; the prohibition of the consumption of beverages on public land after a specified hour (figures have not been made) and an increase in controls. There was also talk of a possible reduction in the hours of operation of local bars and restaurants.
All issues will now be discussed with the Scientific Technical Committee to arrive at the definition of a new regional ordinance.
