The curve for new infections and symptomatic cases rises

The curve for new Covid-19 infections continues to increase in the province of Rimini, which, in the last 24 hours, has registered 22 positives, half of which with symptoms of the disease. There are 11 men and 11 women; 11 asymptomatic and 11 with symptoms, all in home isolation, 2 residents outside the region. In detail: 2 for professional screening; 2 after the return from another region (Puglia and Lombardy); 1 after the return from Albania; 4 sporadic patients due to symptoms; 13 due to contact with a specific case of which: 1 related to a group trip to Cilento, the rest mainly due to family contacts, the majority already in isolation at the time of diagnosis. There are also 7 cures.

At the regional level since the beginning of the coronavirus epidemic, 36,454 cases of positivity were registered in Emilia-Romagna, 193 more than yesterday from a record number of swabs made: 14,881. Of the new cases, 95 asymptomatic cases were identified in the context of regional contact tracing and detection activities. The control and prevention activity continues: of the total of new cases, 89 were already in isolation at the time of the swab execution, 94 were identified in the context of already known outbreaks. There are 16 new infections related to returns from abroad, for which the Region has provided two nasopharyngeal swabs during fiduciary isolation if they arrive from non-Schengen countries and one swab if they return from Greece, Spain, Croatia, Malta and regions of France. The number of cases returning from other regions is 5. The average age of new positives is currently 40.5 years. Of the 95 asymptomatic, 54 were identified thanks to contact tracing, 30 through the tests for risk categories introduced by the Region, 3 through screening with serological tests, 5 with pre-admission tests, while for three cases it was not. Epidemiological investigation has not yet been completed.

Regarding the situation in the territory, the highest number of cases is registered in the provinces of Bologna (45), Piacenza (27), Modena (23), Rimini (22), Ferrara (18), Parma (15) and others Forlì (14). In the province of Bologna there are 45 new cases: 36 attributable to known outbreaks (family members, in social and health establishments, due to the frequency of public places, meetings with friends) and 9 are sporadic cases, 2 of which are identified when returning from Foreign. (Malta and Cameroon). In Piacenza and its province, out of 27 new positives, 10 (8 of which were asymptomatic and associated with known family outbreaks) were identified by contact tracing, 4 swabs to detect symptoms (three by contacting a private laboratory and one by doctor’s recommendation) . family members), 1 diagnosed in a hospital ward, 1 through access controls to the emergency room, 8 from screening on occupational categories at risk and work environments, 2 were identified upon returning from abroad (Costa de Ivory and Romania) and 1 when returning from Sardinia. About the 22 new cases of Rimini province, all in home isolation, 13 were determined after contact tracing activities (3 related to group trips outside the region, the rest mainly due to family contacts), 2 diagnosed when returning from other regions (1 from Puglia, 1 of Lombardy), 2 for professional detection, 4 swabs to detect the presence of symptoms, 1 was diagnosed when returning from abroad (Albania). In the province of Ferrara, out of 18 positives, 11 are attributable to known outbreaks (2 family outbreaks, 1 outbreak in Nido Giardino di Ferrara and 1 outbreak in a sports setting), 4 subsequent symptoms, 1 verified in the emergency department, 2 due pre-admission evaluation. In Parma and its province, out of 15 new positives, 4 were detected in contact tracing activities, 5 thanks to pre-hospitalization tests, 2 through screening in hospitalized people, 2 swabs to detect the presence of symptoms, 2 were diagnosed at return from abroad (1 from Morocco and 1 from Russia).

In Forlì, of 14 new positives, 5 were detected by symptoms, 5 by contact tracing, 2 detected for occupational screening, 1 after a swab performed in the emergency room, 1 after returning from abroad (Ukraine). In the province of Reggio Emilia, of 10 new cases, all in home isolation, 4 are attributable to known family outbreaks, 5 were classified as sporadic, 1 was identified when returning from abroad (Morocco). In Ravenna province 10 cases were detected, of which 1 confirmed case for pre-hospital detection of other pathologies, 3 sporadic cases of symptoms, 4 of contact in the family environment and 2 of return from abroad (Ukraine and Moldova). These are the data – verified today at 12 o’clock on the basis of institutional requests – related to the advance of the epidemic in the region.

The swabs performed are 14,881, for a total of 1,246,110. To these also 1,747 serological tests are added. Active cases, that is, the number of actual patients, is 5,295 to date (+141 compared to yesterday). People isolated at home, that is, those with mild symptoms that do not require hospital care or are asymptomatic, are a total of 5,058 (+129), 96% of active cases. There are 14 patients in intensive care (+1 compared to yesterday), 223 (+11) those in the other Covid departments. The total number of cured people amounted to 26,668 (+51 compared to yesterday): 7 “clinically cured” (stable compared to yesterday), that is, they became asymptomatic after presenting clinical manifestations associated with the infection, and 26,661 those declared cured in all aspects. because it tested negative on two consecutive tests. Unfortunately, even today there is a death in the Emilia-Romagna area: an 81-year-old woman in Casalecchio di Reno, in the Bologna area.
