In Emilia-Romagna there were 2,165 more than on Thursday, out of a total of 21,304 swabs performed in the last 24 hours (in addition to these 1,471 serological tests). The percentage of new positives out of the number of tampons made since Thursday is 10.2%. Control and prevention activity continues: of the newly infected, 1,113 are asymptomatic identified as part of regional contact tracing and detection activities. The contagion situation in the provinces sees Modena with (538) new cases, Bologna with 435 cases, then Reggio Emilia (220), Ravenna (207), Piacenza (142), Rimini (101), Ferrara with 138 cases, that of Parma (132) and Imola (123). In the last 24 hours, 21,304 swabs were made, for a total of 2,078,822. To these are added 1,471 serological tests. The number of active cases, that is, of real patients, fell significantly: on Friday they were 70,289 (-1,182 compared to Thursday). In the territory, patients admitted to intensive care are distributed as follows: 15 in Piacenza (-1), 14 in Parma (unchanged), 34 in Reggio Emilia (+1), 63 in Modena (-2 ), 55 in Bologna (- 1 compared to yesterday), 5 in Imola (-1), 19 in Ferrara (-3), 15 in Ravenna (no change), 4 in Forlì (no change), 1 in Cesena ( unchanged) and 25 in Rimini (-1). As for the total number of people cured, they are 3,281 more than on Thursday and reach 41,116.
Infected students
There are a total of 5,774 coronavirus cases in schools and kindergartens in Emilia-Romagna since school started and 85% concern students. In the last week there were 1,160 positive children in this age group, of which 651 between primary and secondary school and 177 of secondary age, currently in distance education. “Confirming the fact that in reality the infection does not only occur at school”, underlines the regional health advisor Raffaele Donini.
