PIEDMONT – Today, the Crisis Unit of the Piedmont Region reported 1084 new cases of people tested positive for Covid-19 (of which 215 after antigen testing), equivalent to 5.8% of 18,613 swabs performed, of which 9,646 antigenic. Of the 1,084 new cases, 524 were asymptomatic, which is equivalent to 48.3%. The cases are broken down as follows: 325 evaluations, 533 case contacts, 226 with ongoing investigation; by area: 142 RSA / Social welfare structures, 48 schools, 894 general population.
Therefore, the total number of positive cases becomes 199,989, divided as follows by provinces: 17,770 in the province of Alessandria (+104 compared to yesterday), 10092 Asti, 6,961 Biella, 27,637 Cuneo, 15,504 Novara, 104,982 Turin, 7,579 Vercelli, 6735 Verbano-Cusio-Ossola, as well as 1,067 residents outside the region, but in charge of Piedmont health facilities. The remaining 1662 are under development and territorial allocation.
There are 192 patients admitted to intensive care (-4 compared to yesterday). The non-intensive care patients are 2957 (-72 compared to yesterday). There are 27,909 people in home isolation. The diagnostic swabs processed so far are 1,998,440 (+ 18,613 compared to yesterday), of which 914,838 were negative.
There are 33 deaths of people positive to the Covid-19 test reported by the Piedmont Region Crisis Unit, of which 4 occurred today (note that the cumulative updated data reported daily also includes deaths that occurred in the previous days and were only subsequently determined as Covid deaths). The total is now 7,893 deaths that tested positive for the virus, divided as follows by province: 1210 in the province of Alessandria (+6 compared to yesterday), 493 Asti, 334 Biella, 890 Cuneo, 662 Novara, 3,613 Turin, 371 Vercelli, 250 Verbano-Cusio-Ossola, as well as 70 residents outside the region but who died in Piedmont.
A total of 161,038 cured patients (+ 2,239 compared to yesterday) divided as follows by provinces: 13,837 in the province of Alessandria, 8045 Asti, 5,117 Biella, 21,997 Cuneo, 13,135 Novara, 85,617 Turin, 5769 Vercelli, 5657 Verbano-Cusio-Ossola, in addition to 796 extraregions and 1,068 in the definition phase.
