The government has published clarifications on President Giuseppe Conte’s decree, which will take effect on May 4. The most important news is represented by the introduction of family visits, a category that is still a bit confusing.
JOINT – The government has specified that they are “spouses, partners, civil union partners, persons who are legal due to a stable emotional bond, as well as relatives up to the sixth grade and the like up to the fourth grade”. Family members will be part of movements justified by necessity: “However, it is strongly recommended to limit meetings with people who are not cohabitants as much as possible, since this increases the risk of contagion.” Also during these visits it will be mandatory to respect the prohibition of collection, the interpersonal distance of at least one meter and to wear masks for the protection of the respiratory tract.
MOVEMENTS – You can leave your home just to go to work, for health reasons, out of necessity or to do sports or physical activities outdoors. Instead, walks are allowed only if “it is strictly necessary to make a movement justified for one of the reasons indicated above.” Starting May 4, you will also be allowed “in any case to return to your home, home, or residence,” even if it is about moving between different regions.
SPORT ACTIVITY – Outdoor sports and motor activities are allowed only if they are carried out individually, unless they are people who live together. Starting May 4, you will no longer be allowed alone in the vicinity of your home. In any case, meetings are prohibited and respect for interpersonal distance is required. You are not allowed to do sports or physical activities outside your region.
CEMETERY – Another important change refers to the possibility of holding funeral celebrations, even with a very small number of participants (the maximum is set at 15 people), with protective masks and possibly outdoors. Starting May 4, it will also be possible to move within your region to visit the deceased in cemeteries.
