“She is a terrorist”: this is the phrase that a Teramo pediatrician heard from a pair of parents worried that their son complained of fever and cold over the phone. After the report, in fact, the doctor recommended that they subject the child to a swab to check for any positivity to the virus: an unwanted indication, after which the pediatrician was subjected to insults by the partner.
The pediatrician herself tells what happened through a post on Facebook: “Some parents hold us responsible for the protocol that we must enforce when a child falls ill even for reasons not considered serious, such as the common cold. I speak of the request for a buffer through the bodies created by this government (Siesp). The pediatrician or general practitioner who does not implement this protocol runs the risk of being imprisoned and expelled from the medical order as responsible for any epidemic. Parents, before you open your mouth, activate your brain, we are only pawns in this bureaucracy ”.
Then the doctor explained the details of the story to the newspaper Il Messaggero:
