The Council of Ministers has launched the Covid vaccine plan to immunize the Italian population. It should start on January 15, as apparently the EMA, Europe’s drug regulatory body, seems to want to speed up the times. Early stages: who should get vaccinated first
The plan foresees the administration of the vaccine in Campania in a first phase to just over 150 thousand people. We will start with health and social workers, long-term patients, and seniors over 80 years old. Then we will proceed with people aged 60 years and over, with those with severe comorbidities (multiple pathologies), immunodeficiency and / or frailty of any age, with high-priority school personnel and with socio-demographic groups at higher risk of illness or death. Then it will be the turn of the rest of the school staff, essential services workers, prisons, community places and people with moderate comorbidities.
Distribution and conservation
The manufacturer sends to a single HUB of the National Army where vaccines are stored and kept (Pratica di Mare airport). The local hubs (ASL / hospital pharmacies), depending on the trend of stocks and the reserves received, request the amount of vaccines needed every 15 days. Administration
People who decide to undergo the vaccination must book through the National Freephone app. The reservation is made simultaneously for the two vaccination dates. People who show up on the indicated date and time must start their tour through an acceptance space. Equipped with an identification document, they must confirm the identity and the data previously collected. The administration is carried out by a doctor / nurse / health assistant. After administration there is a second waiting period for patient monitoring. In case of an adverse reaction, the doctor can intervene using a specially equipped room. Otherwise, the person leaves (exit placed on the opposite side of the entrance). The administration in nursing homes / patients at home will be managed with mobile teams.
