The 2017 school rankings can no longer award substitutes. The Ministry declares them “expired”, excluding the first group

“The current school rankings for the triennium 2017/2018, 2018/2019, 2019/20, except for the first strip, are expired and unattainable.” Therefore, the Ministry puts a firm point on the overlap between the new GPS and the old GIs of the three-year period 2017/20.

The rule was already contained in OM n. 60/2020 “At the time of the establishment of the GPS to which this ordinance refers, the rankings of second and third level institutes established in accordance with the decree of the Minister of Education, University and Research of June 1, 2017, n. 374 ″ and is now specified in the substitute circular for the 2020/21 school year.

Naturally, the reference is to the previous second and third bands. The first band of the institute remains in force, being linked to the update of the institute’s rankings.

Where they are published

According to art. 9 paragraph 1 of OM 60/2020 the classifications of the schools must be published by the school directors in the registry of each school for the teachings that are taught there (we know that in many cases this is not the case and that the schools still they have to publish the lists).

The announcement of the school ranking will be managed by the Director of the school in which the substitute is located. The call will be managed by presence or by email.

Three bands for the 2020/21 school ranking

The school rankings will be divided into three bands.

  1. the first band corresponds to the current first band of the school (qualified teachers included in GaE)
  2. the second group is made up of applicants present in first-level GPS who have up to twenty educational institutions in the same province
  3. the third band is made up of applicants present in second band GPS who have chosen in the same province, up to twenty schools

The first-tier school rankings correspond to the first-tier rankings already in effect for the 2019/22 three-year period.

The scores and positions due in the second and third level school rankings will instead be determined based on the data submitted for registration in the GPS.

School rankings substitutions

School rankings can be used to

  • substitutes as of August 31 or June 30 that could not be assigned by GaE / GPS
  • temporary substitutions (maternity, illness, leave) with the final term of the contract maximum last day of classes (date established by the regional calendar)
  • COVID substitutes

If school rankings are exhausted

If a school’s ratings run out, use those of neighboring schools (according to the table prepared by the School Office)

If even in neighboring schools there is not a teacher who can be contacted for replacement, the principal will use aspiring teachers who have submitted a request for MAD (request for availability).

In the circular of September 5, 2020, the Ministry introduced this novelty “Requests for making available must be submitted exclusively by teachers who are not registered in any provincial and school ranking and can be submitted so that a province is explicitly declared in the request”. .
