It will take effect from tomorrow, December 24, Christmas Eve, the Dpcm Government launched specifically for the Christmas holidays, to prevent the Coronavirus infection curve from rising again. Throughout the national territory, and therefore also in Campania, the red zone will come into effect during the holidays, with stricter rules of conduct: the red zone will remain in effect on December 24, 25, 26 and 27 and January 1, 2, 3, 5 and 6; on all other days of the week, however, the orange zone rules will apply.

Red zone in Campania at Christmas, the rules to be respected

With the start of the red zone, in Campania – as well as throughout the national territory – the rules to follow also change to prevent the Coronavirus from spreading and not incur sanctions: for transgressors, in fact, there are sanctions that range from 400 to 3,000 euros.

But what can and cannot be done during this Christmas break in the red light district? First, the movements. It is always allowed to return to one’s own residence or domicile, as well as to go to second homes, as long as they are in the region of residence. It is also allowed to travel, even within the region, for proven needs, such as work and health, as well as for visits to family and friends: in this case, you can only travel once a day, from 5 to 22 (now where curfew is given), and a maximum of two people who do not live in that house are allowed into the house.

The red zone from January 24 to 6 – except on weekdays in which the orange zone is in force – will also mean the closure of all stores, except those that sell essential items such as supermarkets, kiosks, pharmacies and tobacconists. The bars and restaurants, as in the orange zone, remain closed, like the shopping centers.
