A march against the anti-Covid containment measures, without acronyms, without flags and without leaders, composed of about 300 people, created urban guerrilla scenes Monday night in Milan along Corso Buenos Aires, the city’s most important shopping street, lighting large firecrackers and Molotov cocktails. The group filled the street with an impromptu and unauthorized procession and left for the center. Recognizable in the group ultras of the neo-fascist area, some even with chains in hand.
But at the event there were also students, business owners that had to close, an Arab representation. This has also sparked dissension among protesters, some of whom have tried to stop the more violent behavior.
From the procession, several shouted insults and slogans against Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte. Scenes of chaos pass by: damaged dehors, barriers used for the Giro d’Italia by bike thrown into the underground stairs, overturned containers, split windows and tram doors 9 stops at a junction. The protesters went first to the Pirelli skyscraper, in via Fabio Filzi, and then to the building in the Lombardy Region, against which a dense throw of stones, bottles and large firecrackers was unleashed. Here the police arrested them and there were moments of tension, with the launching of smoke bombs.
