Starting today, September 1, the site http: // cartadeldocente. Formazione.it is in maintenance for the change of school year. In the coming days, the site will resume its functionality and the portfolio of full professors will be enriched with the new amount owed.
The sum of 500 euros will be charged automatically, teachers do not have to do anything to request it.
The official statement of the Ministry of a few days ago
“As of September 1, the request for a teacher’s letter will be temporarily suspended due to the management of the change of school year. It should be noted that the portfolios of teachers already registered will be temporarily deactivated and the amounts of the reserved and unspent vouchers will be automatically canceled and attributed as residuals for the 2019/2020 academic year ”.
What can be purchased with the teacher’s card
The Teacher’s Letter allows “supporting the continuous training of teachers and enhancing their professional skills” (Article 1, paragraph 121, law 107/2015). Consequently, personal, laptop or notebook computers, handheld computers, e-book readers, tablets, and educational robotics tools fall into the category of IT tools that support the continuing education of teachers.
You can buy them also all programs and applications, (available in electronic format, available in the cloud, downloadable online or embedded in media such as external memories, CD, DVD, Blue Ray), intended for the specific training needs of a teacher, such as programs that allow consulting encyclopedias, vocabularies, repertoires cultural or design mathematical models or create technical drawings, word processing, editing and calculation (office automation tools).
With the Teacher Card you can follow an online course as long as it is carried out by accredited or qualified Miur bodies in accordance with articles 2 and 3 of Directive 90/2003, and for the subjects referred to in article 1, sections 2 and 3 of the same Directive.
What is not included in the Teacher’s Letter
Other electronic devices that have electronic communications as their main purpose, such as smartphones, should not be considered primarily functional for the purposes promoted by the Master’s Charter, since the partial components of electronic devices do not include, such as toner cartridges, printers, USB sticks, camcorders, cameras, and video projectors.
Among other things, for example, it is not possible to use the bonus for the membership fee but it is possible for courses related to federal sports activities that aim to train and update the professional skills of teachers.

To date, the Master’s Letter belongs to:
• permanent full-time and part-time teachers of state educational institutions;
• teachers who are in training and probation;
• professors declared unfit for health reasons according to art. 514 of Legislative Decree 04/16/94, 297 and subsequent amendments;
• teachers in leadership positions, seconded, out of the office, or otherwise used;
• teachers from schools abroad;
• teachers of military schools.
