Antonio Gaudioso, Secretary General of Active citizenship, an association that had collected 35,000 signatures on Change.org to call for its abolition, spoke of a measure that “goes in the direction of greater equity.”
“Eliminating the health superticket is an important step that we have been waiting for years, and it is also the result of the battles waged by many civic organizations against this tax that had strong effects on citizens.”Gaudioso commented.
According to Cittadinanzattiva, Speranza’s decision “removes a heavy tax that made public health lose money instead of earning it, because it led more and more people to turn to private healthcare”.
